:: We have fruit flies. So. Many. Fruit flies. Today I squashed four and found a dead one in my oil diffuser. Gross.
:: I realized earlier this afternoon while I put away another empty sauce jar that we have quite the collection of glass jars. I don't want to recycle them because I feel like I'll need them one day or be suddenly inspired to do something with them but for now they just hold air.
:: As I was leaving the Wadsworth Longfellow Garden yesterday I passed a building (a bank maybe?) that had its entrance set back from the sidewalk and beautiful iron gate doors. At the moment I thought of how beautiful it looked to me and then walked on thinking, "I should take a picture of that. It's such a pretty and random thing. Who cares if I look like a weirdo/tourist taking a picture of an iron door?" And so I did. And I'm very glad I did.
:: Also yesterday was the Art Walk that happens on the first Friday of every month. Most vendors were just setting up but there was a good amount who had everything out and ready (it goes from 5 to 8 I think). Since I had no reason to hurry back home and I'd already taken a lovely detour in the garden, I decided to stop and check out what was available. It's a good thing I don't have extra money to spend because I saw beautiful necklaces made of oyster shells and little metal pendants and found objects. There were lovely framed photographs and paintings and sea glass jewelry. Maybe next month. Maybe soon I'll even set up a table and sell my things.
