Well. Yesterday was a very strange day indeed. It was very warm and muggy until about 6pm when Tanner came home from work. I had worked earlier in the day and seen many patriotic Australians. Hm. Around 7 it started to drizzle and then rain and then lightning and thunder while pouring. We decided to skip every plan for watching fireworks that we had and watched the Twilight Zone while eating dinner. The lightning was quite something. We also decided to drink some of the wine we had before going to Tanner's friend's party and by the time we were on our way the rain had stopped and it was almost midnight.
This is pretty much how the rest of the night went:
-Tanner and friends played video games.
-I played with a dog.
-Everyone drank a lot.
-I made new friends via the dog.
-Everyone drank a lot.
-Tanner and friends vented about work.
-Everyone drank a lot. I cut myself off.
-We all walked home.
By the time Tanner and I went to bed it was almost 4:30am. We both fell asleep immediately and were mostly sound asleep until being awoken at 10:30 by our maintenance man pounding on the door. The apartment upstairs has a leaky air conditioner due to horrible installation. Nope, no leakage here. Sorry to wake you. Ugh. But whatever pounding in my head and aching in my tummy and dryness in my mouth I had all day was absolutely worth it. And that was a good Independence Day.
(On another note, I finally got my pictures developed from the last few months. Summer pictures and a couple left over from May.)
